Hiring an employee with Autism can be a great experience both for the employee and the employer. There may be situations that arise though that neither of you have experienced before. Acquiring as much information as possible about Autism will help you be a better employer and mentor, but keep in mind that Autism affects each individual differently. As with any other employee, you will need to learn their strengths and weaknesses to better assist them in fulfilling their job to the best of their ability.
